Coastal Trail:
All along the coast are wide expanses of sandy beach, just waiting for your bucket and spade! Viewed by car, on foot, or from the sea, the Moray Firth is a Special Area of Conservation, with its varied marinelife, birds and wildlife. Look for the famous Moray Firth dolphins; seals; puffins; pine martens; not forgetting the amazing gannet colony at RSPB Troup Head. Dotted along the coast, both east and west of Portsoy, are pretty fishing villages and tiny hamlets, clinging to the shoreline with their dramatic backdrop of rugged cliffs.
